4 High Protein Breakfast Recipes - From our PP E Cookbook

Below we are sharing four of our favorite high protein breakfast recipes from our Powell Performance Cookbook. Starting off the day with a protein filled breakfast will help keep you full, energized and is a great start to meeting your protein intake goals.

 

Egg Muffin with Tomato and Feta Cheese - 10g protein and only 125 calories each With only 125 calories this is a great option for those looking to use lower calorie options for either breakfast or a snack. To reach your protein goals we often recommend our athletes and clients eat 2-3 of these to reach their needs. Another huge benefit for those working towards perfect meals is the added fat from the feta and the micronutrients of lycopene, beta-carotene, Vitamin E and Vitamin C.

  

 

Avocado Bowl - Enchilada Mix - 34g protein

For those who love the Tex-Mex flavor profile, this Avocado Bowl packs a whopping 34g protein along with some great performance fats and has big Tex-Mex flavorings. Other great health benefits include a high calcium and Vitamin C content.

 

 

 

Breakfast Pie - 18g protein

Everyone loves pie so making one for breakfast is a tasty way to start the day. This breakfast pie is a great mix of savory and starchy between the bacon and the potatoes. Lessen the fat by swapping pork bacon for turkey bacon and swap the cottage cheese from 4% to 2%. A fantastic weekend breakfast treat, this does take a little longer to make, hence the Level 2 marker on the bottom of the recipe card, but it is definitely worth the time and effort.

 

 

 

Oatmeal-Cranberry Almond – 34g protein

We love this Oatmeal-Cranberry Almond recipe, it has a fantastic mix of carbs, fat and fruits and hits all 4 Components of a Perfect Meal. To make it even higher in protein we are simply adding 1-2 scoops of protein. This allows most athletes to hit their protein goals for the day, avoiding a common mistake most of our athletes and clients make-not getting enough consistent protein sources per day.
